For students living on campus, residence halls will remain open and meals will continue to be served. Only essential personnel should report to work. Fort Valley is predicted to experience increasingly intense wind and rain throughout this evening and tomorrow, with the strongest weather beginning in the very early hours of tomorrow morning. Please be prepared for possible power outages. Students in the residence halls should limit outside activity once weather conditions deteriorate. Students should also ensure they understand their building’s emergency plan for tornadoes and evacuations and check with residence hall directors with any questions. Governor Deal has declared a state of emergency for the entire state of Georgia.
